Quotes that I Love
“If you should die before me, ask if you could bring a friend.” ~anonymous
Did i ever mention that i love quotes? Many i read and i forget, but i marvel at the profound wisdom found within, and still do. This particular one I have always liked, never forgotten, though i always seem to be quoting it perhaps not in full…
“Never explain – your friends do not need it, and your enemies will not believe it anyway.” ~Hubbard
Perhaps it is because i fully believe in that. I do believe a person’s choice of quotes and stuff reflects the person’s character and how he/ she views and see the world, as well as how he/ she hopes himself/ herself to act. In the shortest of the sentences, you can tell about a person. Perhaps that’s why i love quotes.
In actual fact, like i say, I forget many of them, remembering only their essence (i hope, at least). And here are a few on friendship to share with you:
I think this is from Butler:
“Sometimes being a friend means mastering the art of timing. There is a time for silence. A time to let go and allow people to hurl themselves into their own destiny. And a time to prepare to pick up the pieces when it is all over.“
From C.S. Lewis:
“Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art… It has no survival value, rather is one of those things that gives value to survival.”
From a song, i believe:
“I’ll lean on you and you lean on me and we’ll be okay…”
So says Ade – posting in the wee hours of the morning…
